The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved 14 venues for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League after inspections and clearance by its Club Licensing Department.
The approved venues were announced on August 17, 2026, as clubs prepare for the start of the new league season.
The stadiums and football grounds cleared to host Premier League matches include the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale, Accra Sports Stadium, University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Duns Park in Bibiani, Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Sambreboi and the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa.
Other approved venues are Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem, AAK II Sports Arena, Tuba Astro Turf, Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, Golden City Park in Berekum, Nana Boamah Darko II Park in Kukurantumi and Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.
However, some clubs are yet to receive approval for their proposed home grounds.
Aduana FC’s Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa was not included on the approved list, meaning the club will need to secure clearance or identify an alternative venue before the season starts.
Young Apostles are also waiting for approval for the Wenchi Sports Stadium.
Newly promoted All Blacks are awaiting clearance for their proposed home venue in Swedru, while Vision FC’s Nii Adjei Kraku II venue has also not yet been approved.
The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League is expected to begin between September 4 and 7, with 18 clubs competing over a 30-week season.
The campaign is scheduled to end between May 28 and 31, 2027.
The GFA has also announced that midweek matchdays will only be used to play outstanding fixtures in an effort to maintain a balanced league schedule.
Clubs without approved home grounds will therefore need to secure clearance or make alternative arrangements before the opening weekend.
