GNFS Stops Teshie House Fire from Spreading to Nearby Buildings

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has contained a house fire at Teshie Penny in the Greater Accra Region, preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings.

According to the GNFS, firefighters from the Trade Fair Fire Station responded quickly to the fire, which broke out on the evening of July 29.

The service said the fire threatened nearby properties, but the firefighters managed to bring it under control before it spread further.

The fire destroyed the contents of one room and also caused partial damage to the hall and kitchen.

However, firefighters saved the remaining parts of the house, a nearby self-contained apartment and an adjoining five-bedroom house from the fire.

The GNFS said no injuries or deaths were recorded during the incident.

The cause of the fire is still unknown and is under investigation.

The Ghana National Fire Service has advised the public to follow fire safety measures and report fire outbreaks and other emergencies quickly to help reduce damage and save lives.
