Morocco will host Ghana in an international friendly on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Grand Stade de Tanger.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) confirmed the fixture on Thursday after Ghana’s planned friendly against Tanzania was cancelled.
The match will kick off at 7:00pm local time in Morocco and will bring the international window for both teams to a close.
Morocco will use the game as part of its preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The Atlas Lions will begin their Group A campaign at home against Gabon on September 25 before travelling to face Lesotho four days later.
Ghana will also have started its AFCON qualifying campaign by then. The Black Stars are scheduled to travel to face Ivory Coast on September 24 before hosting The Gambia.
The friendly will give Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi an opportunity to assess his squad and evaluate new additions.
Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz will also use the match to continue preparations with the Black Stars and assess his players against strong African opposition.
The Grand Stade de Tanger, also known as the Ibn Battuta Stadium, has hosted several major international fixtures and will serve as the venue for the meeting between the two teams.
The match will bring together two of Africa’s prominent national teams in Tangier as they prepare for their respective AFCON qualifying campaigns.
