The Nigerian movie industry is mourning the death of popular Yoruba Nollywood actress and producer Temitope Osoba.
The actress reportedly died at the age of 40, leaving her family, colleagues and fans in shock.
Her death comes just months after she returned to acting following a well-known battle with breast cancer.
Temitope Osoba had openly shared her health journey with the public and received support from fans and fellow actors throughout her treatment. Her recovery and return to the movie industry in 2025 inspired many.
Before her death, the actress shared what has become her final WhatsApp status. She wrote, “Ogo Tuntun,” a Yoruba phrase that means “A New Glory.”
Since news of her passing broke, tributes have continued to pour in on social media, with many colleagues and fans remembering her talent and contribution to the Yoruba movie industry.
Many have also praised her courage during her health battle and the inspiration she gave to others through her journey.
