Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has thanked U.S. President Donald Trump after visiting the White House, where he was welcomed together with his fiancée, Georgina Rodríguez.
Trump hosted the high-profile event last night in honour of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, who was visiting Washington, DC. Ronaldo, currently playing in the Saudi Pro League, attended as part of the delegation and was accompanied by Georgina.
Earlier today, Trump also received Ronaldo and Georgina in his White House office.
After the meeting, Ronaldo took to Instagram to share some photos and a message of appreciation, acknowledging the hospitality extended by the President and First Lady, Melania Trump.
“Thank you, Mr President, for the warm welcome you and the First Lady gave me and my future wife,”Ronaldo said. “Each of us has something meaningful to give, and I stand ready to do my part as we inspire new generations to build a future defined by courage, responsibility, and lasting peace.”
