“It’s Impossible for Ghana to Miss Out” – Sports Minister Assures Nation of Secured 2026 World Cup Spot

Sports Minister Kofi Adams has declared Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup mathematically secure, confidently stating that the Black Stars have effectively already booked their place in the tournament.

Speaking after Ghana’s emphatic 5-0 victory over Central African Republic, the Buem MP explained that the team’s massive goal difference makes it impossible for rivals to overtake them.

“The goal difference is huge, and it is not possible for Madagascar to go to Mali and beat them by 8-0, and then we will lose by 8-0. It’s just not possible,” Adams stated.

The Sports Minister highlighted that Sunday’s final qualifier against Comoros should be viewed as a celebration rather than a decisive encounter. “Sunday is simply a day for us to fill the stadium and celebrate our players,” he said, encouraging fans to come out in full support of the team’s remarkable qualification journey.

Ghana’s commanding victory over the Central African Republic (CAR) ensured they maintained a three-point lead at the top of Group I, effectively securing their spot for a fifth World Cup appearance and signaling a proud return to football’s biggest stage.
